Joe Weckerle is a multi-talented person whose artistic skills include screenplay writing, composing music/lyrics and performing, in addition to being a director, producer and actor. He co-wrote the screenplay for the feature film Munich Mambo, which was produced in Germany, played on NetFlix and co-wrote the screenplay for the short film Ice Blue with Stephen Wise, which he co-produced and acted. Joe also wrote five episodes of the television series Macabre Theater starring Butch Patrick from The Munsters. Other TV work includes writing and directing 12 episodes of, At the Top of Her Game, featuring top female athletes in the US, which won two Crystal Reel Awards. He also directed and wrote the documentary, Red Devil, which ran on PBS stations around the country. Currently, his book entitled, Decades of Lyrical Verse, is available on Amazon.com.
Joe’s musical ability has worked its way into several projects. He composed the score for “Ice Blue” and wrote the song “Bad Magic” that was used in the film. He also wrote the song “Karl’s Theme” that was used as the title song for Munich Mambo and the song, “Traction Line Blues” for Red Devil. His various songs and the EP “Well-Versed” can be found on iTunes et al.
